VISITORS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!!!

PROGRAM SCHEDULE
Our camera club meets the first three Tuesdays from September through May at 7 pm.  The December meeting is a holiday banquet, which includes the “Best of the Best” exhibit of all the winners of the monthly club competitions from the previous year. The first meeting of the month is usually a guest speaker and the second meeting is devoted to digital photo competitions from club members. The third week meeting is either a print competition or a workshop/presentation by an experienced member of the club. Check the "Schedule" page for details.

PHOTO COMPETITION
Our club encourages all members to participate and continue learning about photography. One of the best learning tools is the monthly in-house photo competition. A panel of three judges critique and rate prints and digital images submitted by club members. Individual winners are asked to share the process of creation of their images with the audience in an educational format. A discussion of images is encouraged in small groups after the competition.

The three categories are Novice (new), Advanced (experienced photographers) and Masters.  Members advance to the next level by earning points in club contests or being recognized as Photographer of the Year.  Print contests include color and black & white contests. Both traditional and digital slide contests are held.

Points are awarded as follows.

  • 1st Place - 8 points

  • 2nd Place - 7 points

  • 3rd Place - 6 points

  • Honorable Mention - 5 point
